Leaf insects

Have you ever seen a leaf with legs? It's called a Phyllidae or you might know them as
Leaf insects.

A leaf insect is a insect that looks like a leaf they camouflage themself to look like leaves They can be Brown,Green And yellow and they are normally big insects, the main parts of a leaf insect is the head, thorax and abdomen.

Leaf insects measure roughly 28 to 100 mm 1.1 to 3.9 inches in body length.

Leaf insects eat eucalyptus leaves but were raised on rose and raspberry leaves and they acasilliny drink when there's water drops on leaves.

Leaf insects cannot bite, sting, or otherwise harm you but female spiny leaf insects have spines on their undersides and legs that they may brush against you if they are handled roughly.

Female leaf insects can lay eggs without a male they can also lay thousands of eggs thru their lifetime females can live up to 18 months well males can only live up to 6 to 8
Months.

They live on bushes, trees and flatground

Even though leaf insects are weird they are cool insects my favourite thing about them is how they can camouflage themselves from predators to stay safe.
