Robert falcon Scott

Robert Falcon Scott

Robert Falcon Scott is a British Explorer he was born the on 6 of June 1868 in Plymouth, United Kingdom. who traveled to Antarctica to try and make it to the center of Antarctica.
Robert Falcon Scott and four companions – Henry Bowers, Edgar Evans, Lawrence Oates and Edward Wilson were trying to be the first people to ever reach Antarctica.
They left to reach Antarctica on the 17th of January 1912 he arrived to Antarctica 2 weeks later on a boat when he saw that Roald Amundsen beat him there they started to head back a couple days later when they hopped on their boat started to shrivel up because of the ice and the freezing cold water.
They had to abandon the boat they were stuck on iceberg for a couple of days but unfortunately they all died of starvation and hypothermia.

I like Robert Falcon Scott and I Recon his trip to Antarctica and back is really fascinating.

fixed and growth mindset

During power time we have been learning about fixed and growth mindsets. We watched a short video about Luke sky-walker and Yoda Lifting a X-wing out of a lake. Luke had a fixed mindset. A Fixed mindset is when you don`t believe in yourself and say you cant do anything Yoda taught him how to have a growth mindset. A growth mindset is when you believe in your self and give everything a try We talked about what we could say to ourselves to change from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. here is my DLO.

Cool Antarctica

Cool Antarctica

Antarctica is the coldest, windiest, highest and driest continent on Earth.
If you go to to Antarctica you will more than likely need more than 1 layer over wise you will freeze like a ice block so it would be a good idea to have a couple layers. The coldest temperature ever recorded in Antarctica was 89.2 C and the hottest temperature in Antarctica is -17.5 C. 90%. If you're in Antarctica you will more than likely see animals such as penguins, seals  and whales but those aren't all the animals in Antarctica because there are roughly around 68 species all throughout Antarctica. The largest iceberg ever measured in Antarctica  is bigger than Jamaica 11,000 sq km (4,200 sq mi). It broke away from Antarctica in 2000. If you're in antarctic all you will see is white and a bit of blue for miles some glaciers on the way and sometimes just flat ground and animals.

I like Antarctica because of the animals and i find it fascinating about the history of the explorers but the main reason i like Antarctica is because of the scenery.
